Faceted Vase
thingiverse
Ever since discovering the Twisted 6-sided Vase Basic by MaakMijnIdee, I've been eager to learn how to replicate a similar design in Fusion 360. I stumbled upon a helpful video: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/screencast/Main/Details/92384ff8-c0ce-4619-a649-da8541baf16f.html So while I built this from scratch, I'm crediting it as an inspirational remix. It turned out to be more intricate than I anticipated and the process involved creating an extrusion in the form environment and then twisting it, but instead of using that as the final body, I created a new 3D sketch and included the key points from the initial body. Then I used 3D lines to create the facets. Finally, I employed the patch environment to transform the sketch into a new solid body. The result is a solid body ready for printing in vase mode. Instead of my usual MakerGear M2 printer, I'm experimenting with my new Monoprice Delta Mini to print this model.
