Building airplane parts into a three-dimensional shape can be a creative and humorous approach, as demonstrated by this bowl. By assembling and shipping individual components in a tightly nested configuration, designers can achieve an efficient use of materials. A well-coordinated cord with a vibrant color can also create a striking visual contrast to the wood. My project was constructed from 6.5 mm thick beech plywood using a desktop CNC machine provided by Stepcraft. The cord used is a 4 mm 'paracord' sourced from Opitec.
