FaceShield
thingiverse
##New ! - Updated Design## The design has been thoroughly revised to accommodate an elastic strap headband more efficiently, and ventilation has been enhanced (also significantly reduces print time to approximately 3.5 hours). Additionally, a PDF template has been incorporated so users can trim the plastic shield to better conform to their body shape. ------------------ ##Overview## This is a general-purpose face shield designed to utilize readily available materials to create an affordable and comfortable barrier against fluid or vapor transfer. To complete the build, you will need: * An elastic strap measuring about 50cm in length, * Two 25mm fold-back (bulldog) clips, * And an overhead transparency sheet specifically designed for A4 size, but foolscap should also work effectively. ##Details## The prototype was built on a Makerbot Replicator 2x, with slicing accomplished using Simplify3D and printing done in ABS. The attached Makerbot print file prints with raft, takes approximately 4 hours to complete, and utilizes about 63g of material. ##Licensing## This design is freely available for all to use and adapt into new designs. In the spirit of community, if any profit is made from this design, it should be donated to a medical charity of your choice.
