##New ! - Updated Design## The design has been thoroughly revised to accommodate an elastic strap headband more efficiently, and ventilation has been enhanced (also significantly reduces print time to approximately 3.5 hours). Additionally, a PDF template has been incorporated so users can trim the plastic shield to better conform to their body shape. ------------------ ##Overview## This is a general-purpose face shield designed to utilize readily available materials to create an affordable and comfortable barrier against fluid or vapor transfer. To complete the build, you will need: * An elastic strap measuring about 50cm in length, * Two 25mm fold-back (bulldog) clips, * And an overhead transparency sheet specifically designed for A4 size, but foolscap should also work effectively. ##Details## The prototype was built on a Makerbot Replicator 2x, with slicing accomplished using Simplify3D and printing done in ABS. The attached Makerbot print file prints with raft, takes approximately 4 hours to complete, and utilizes about 63g of material. ##Licensing## This design is freely available for all to use and adapt into new designs.
