FaceShield / Protetor Facial
thingiverse
This is a protective face shield against contamination. It's a mashup of many ideas that are circulating online, but it was created to fit the simpler printers with small printbeds, since most other models being printed worldwide will only fit in bigger printers. The printer used for the pictures has a 180x180mm printbed, and the minimum size should be 170x170 to fit the model. It prints around 20 ~ 25 minutes on some printers, and around 40 minutes on old ones. The plastic protection is an A4 acetate sheet, the same one used for retroprojection. The recommended thickness of 250 micra can be used, but other thicknesses can also be used if needed. One of the most interesting things about this face shield is the possibility of laser-cutting on acrylic instead of 3D printing. On a 1,2m x 2m acrylic plate, it's possible to cut more than 100 frames for the face shield, making large-scale production more feasible with a low cost of production. Included in the files are: - STL for 3D printing - DWG and DXF files for laser-cutting - PDF instruction manual for assembly The template for the holes in the acetate is included in the instruction manual.
