We designed these two prototypes to manufacture heavy-duty reusable face shields for use in operating theaters, ICUs, and general medical environments. We've tested them with anesthesiologists and general practitioners in Australia. Once we get approval from the TGA, we'll update our listing. The two designs are: 1. Frameless: The simplest design has no frame - just a 3D-printed buckle! (This allows us to produce many units.) - Parts: 0.8mm polycarbonate, rubber strip, and 3D-printed buckle 2. 3D Printed Frame: - Includes six ventilation holes (printed closed but can be snapped open if needed) - Houses heavy-duty 0.8mm polycarbonate (or thinner) - cut to size in PDF templates (thin transparency may require bluetac to prevent slipping out) - Parts: 0.8mm polycarbonate sheeting, 3D-printed frame and strap, and rubber strip (optional) Both designs are approximately A3 in size (can accommodate larger sizes but typically trimmed shorter with rounded corners). A PDF template for the visor is included. PDF cleaning, sterilizing, and care instructions are also available. For more information visit http://faceshieldsau.org
