I was tasked with bringing the Alien Covenant movie scene "David's Lab" to life for the GAM280 Module. My goal was to recreate this intense moment in a game engine, so I set out to create accurate props that would transport players into the heart of the scene. To achieve this, I built a precise recreation of the "Facehugger" creature using Maya 2018, and then used Substance Painter to add intricate details and textures that would make it feel like an authentic piece from the movie. This was my first foray into using Substance Painter, but I was determined to master its capabilities and push the boundaries of what's possible in game development.
