Face Shields Fast Stack

This is an optimized Face Shield made for fast printing. The Face shield is using ISO 888-holes. The side tabs are made for an elastic band with hole cutouts.

Original design by Martin Øhlund Øyen.

There are four stacks, with 4, 8, and 12 face shields in each stacks. The bottom one is slightly different to allow for better adhesion.

Print instructions

There are four stacks, with 4, 8, and 12 face shields in each stacks. The bottom one is slightly different to allow for better adhesion.

There are two 3mf-files, one for Prusa MK3S and one for Ender 3 Pro, 0.4 mm nozzle. Both prints quite fast and does not work with all filaments. Both projects uses the "CUSTOM G-CODE" in the Printer Settings to reduce the flow in the connecting layers to make them easier to break apart.

Notes on printing stacked face shields:

1) The attached files only works on 0.25mm and 0.3mm layer height. The first layer must be the same height as the rest of the layers to ensure that the gaps between the face shields are exactly 1 layer.
2) The first layer of each shield should be printed slowly at 100% fan speed. In PrusaSlicer this can be ensured by enabling “Detect bridging perimeters” and turning down the bridge speed.
3) It is easier to break them apart if the gaps with the pins are printed at lower extrusion flow. In the attached 3mf-files this is achieved in the “Custom G-CODE” section under Printer Settings. Here M221 is used to reduce flow in the spaces between the face shields.
4) Both the attached 3mf-files prints at relatively high speed. The temperature is therefore increased as the hot-end temperature sensor does not follow the filament temperature accurately on these flow speeds. This is more pronounced on the Ender 3 than the Prusa MK3S, and therefore the temperature is even higher on the Ender 3.
