Face shield Unesp Ergonomics 3D 1.2
thingiverse
Our model boasts several benefits, including its ease of production by any 3D printing technology, which requires minimal materials (two 3D printed parts, adhesive tape, transparent PVC, and rubber band). As a result, cleaning is super easy, making usage safer for hospitals, reducing contamination risks, and streamlining attendances for healthcare professionals. Healthcare professionals' input drove our cap design, which emerged from an intensive user-centered process involving doctors, dentists, nurses, firefighters, and others. The goal was to minimize contamination by aerosols produced by infected patients. Our project stands out as the only open-source face shield with this feature. The shape of our cap and a wider PVC shield work together to improve airflow during breathing, preventing fog buildup and providing better protection for eyes, nose, mouth, and ears compared to standard face shields on the market.
