Face Shield - Revised
thingiverse
I wanted to boost print speed. This prints for me in 1 hour 43 minutes. It uses 14 grams of PLA filament. The tabs are set to accommodate standard 3-hole punched sheet protectors. I recommend clear, affordable sheets. Nice sheets are cloudy when looking for distance. I use closed foam on the interior of the headband. (Three pieces: one 3-inch piece in the center, two 1-inch pieces on the inside edge.) I hot glue them into place. I am waiting on a shipment of 1/4" surgical tubing to attach to the frame. Face Shield v2 has thicker posts for the sheet protector, 6 mm. It should help prevent breaking off when lifting from the print platform. I didn't remeasure centers, but tried to align with the other, about .25 mm wider each side. Face Shield v3 has the original print with a modification suggested by brihammy (great idea). The face shield is flipped over so there's more support for the tabs when you separate it from the printing platform. The tabs are small and can break off. I kept the 10-degree angle in the inner headband and the 15 mm height by adjusting those components as well. Happy printing and stay safe.
