Face shield - my remix

thingiverse

This remix of the faceshield is designed by Erik Cederberg at 3DVERKSTAN, and has been remixed in a collaboration with local Council Elder Care department professionals. They specifically requested a change to the "drip tray" size and I widened the contact point with the forehead so it feels better to wear. Additional STL files have been included: one is a measuring guide for the standard European 2-hole holepunch to find the correct setting for the end stop. Another STL file is an extra end stop that can be attached with adhesive tape, pads or glue in case of adjustment issues. A guide in English has also been included. So far, I have produced about 1400 frames for local elder care and private citizens. (edit: 20200928). If your printer has a PEI-sheet, you can dramatically reduce the cooling down period by attaching it to a window glass; heat dissipates within 30 seconds. This method allows you to detach the print sooner without damaging the PEI-sheet. It's also important to set up the hole punch so that the center holes fit snugly to the taps. In fact, it's better to have them slightly too close together (about 1mm) than too far apart.
