Since we're meeting the urgent demand for printing by creating a fast model, we remixed this one to meet the requirement. It prints quickly, consumes minimal plastic, and feels comfortable on the head, which are three essential features. Moreover, it doesn't need a pre-perforated plastic sheet, and it covers the forehead, an important aspect often overlooked in widely available 3D print models. _UPDATE: Please check our new model that includes pins, which can be used with both thin non-perforated sheets (less than 0.3 mm) and thick perforated sheets (more than 0.3mm)_ The first modification we made, inspired by the Prusa Research model, is the side handles for easy and fast fixing on the user's head. We are working on a second one to be released soon. PRINT PARAMETERS FOR A 0.4 MM NOZZLE DIAMETER: These parameters serve as a reference based on the original Coronavirus Makers settings (Spain) and our own tests, taking into account that each printer and slicer software has its unique optimal print settings. -Layer height: 0.28mm -Fill: 50% -Fill type: Grid -Upper layers: 3 -Lower layers: 3 -Shell: 4 -Flow (extrusion multiplier): 80% Important to ensure the thin gap keeping the plastic sheet! _UPDATE Some printers and old materials may require a bigger flow. Please conduct some tests. The exterior frame should move, but the whole thing must be solid._ -No supports needed -Printing speed: tested in three different models with good results PRUSA MK3S * Creality CR10 * I3 MENDEL 2016 General 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 50 mm/s Perimeters : 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 45 mm/s Small perimeters: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 45 mm/s External perimeters: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 45 mm/s Fill: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 50 mm/s Solid fill: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 50 mm/s Top solid fill: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 50 mm/s Bridges: No bridges in our remix Fill: 80 mm/s * 60 mm/s * 50 mm/s Travel: 180 mm/s * 80 mm/s * 80 mm/s Please print a test and ensure everything is okay before proceeding. With a 0.80 flow, there's a possibility of under-extrusion, which can lead to poor layer adhesion, especially in the frontal thin walls, compromising the functionality of the piece. If this is your case, fine-tuning in the slicer software may solve the issue. Parameters related to extrusion width and behavior on thin walls will help avoid gaps in thin walls. We'd be happy to assist you in achieving optimal results. If you arrived here from Romania following our social media call, thank you first. Just get in contact with us.
