Face Shield inspired by Prusa yet 30% faster to print!
thingiverse
I'm producing shields for medical professionals in Poland using a Prusa design from https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857-prusa-face-shield. My experience led me to realize that this project can be completed more efficiently and with greater printer independence by redesigning it from scratch. It's essential to print the model as a shell, without infill, and omit solid top/bottom layers! You'll still need to download the "glass" sketch and bottom reinforcement from Prusa's page: Bottom reinforcement - t.ly/EKjeX Shield DXF file - t.ly/02nlx This project is not for beginners, but if you're familiar with your printer and slicer, you can complete it 30-40% faster than the original Prusa project. The images show a previous version; I've redesigned the strap mount to make it more reliable to print, similar to Prusa's model. Remember, you can stack this model in layers to print multiple shields at once overnight!
