FACE SHIELD FRAME V1.5 (NORTH AMERICA PUNCHER)
thingiverse
This frame idea is another simplified concept ready for rapid production using minimal material consumption. It can potentially be used as face shields when combined with transparent PETG sheets. To assemble the design, you will need a hole puncher similar to those used in North America for cutting transparency. The frame is also designed to accommodate a rubber band, cord, or elastic headband. You can tighten it using a lacing system or simply attach a rubber band to the outer edge of the circular holes. This simplified frame design was created in response to the global shortage of PPEs during the COVID-19 pandemic affecting healthcare systems worldwide. The uploaded design is not certified as personal protective equipment and has not been used in actual field applications. Feel free to test it on your 3D printer if you like the model, but be aware that further development may be necessary. Please note that I am not advocating for the use of these devices in medical settings since PLA and other common 3D printing materials are porous and can harbor bacteria, often produced in unregulated environments. If someone claims this design is a PPE, consult your local authorities before using it.
