4/19/20 Uploaded newer designs all marked with V3. These designs are lighter, faster to print, cover more of the front gap and feature a front head piece that is more elliptical, with "what side down" printed to assist with assembly. The twist pegs on these designs are slightly shorter. The local hospital asked for face shields, new or used. I have extra shield replacements so I made this face shield for them. This face shield uses a standard face shield replacement or will hold a vinyl DIY face shield. It requires two 1/4 x 1 1/4 inch flat top bolts, with countersink, and a lock washer and washer to allow for tightness. The shield is hinged so you can lift it up and use a large respirator if needed. The shield is held in place with key hole twist plugs - just insert and twist. This face shield can be assembled to fit comfortably, with some cushion strap or cloth tape on the front being a good idea, and does not need the user to tie the face shield on as it will be used for hours. It is very lightweight. A back section option, using a back elastic file, has been added that holds a rubber band for more adjustment. Foam strips have also been added to the front section to improve comfort.
