Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a sudden surge in demand for medical equipment is being felt across many regions – and you can make a real difference by lending your support! This face shield design can be easily printed on almost any standard consumer-grade 3D printer. Use a clear spiral binding cover sheet as the shield (or any other thin, transparent plastic) and create the holes with a regular paper hole punch. There are designs available for 2-hole punches (standard in New Zealand, Australia, and other countries), 3-hole punches (standard in the USA), and 4-hole punches (standard in Sweden and other countries). Each of these hole patterns comes in four different versions: ventilated with helpful instructions, ventilated without text, non-ventilated with instructions, and non-ventilated without text. For full instructions, head over to https://cadenvy.com/face-shield/. The face shield is an enhanced version of the original design released by 3D printer manufacturer Stratasys. New features include: Two additional designs for 2-hole and 4-hole punches; Clips have been added to secure the shield in place; All edges are now chamfered or rounded to increase user comfort; Instructions for use and assembly are printed directly on the part.
