Face Shield Cochlear Implant Design
thingiverse
This is a redesigned version of the Prusa R3 Face Shield tailored specifically to accommodate Cochlear Implants. The original design's electronics proved too delicate, resulting in excessive pressure on the sides when worn. To address this issue, I've modified the face shield's sides to curve downward and around the ears, providing a more secure fit. A three-part top section has also been added for improved sizing accuracy across various head shapes. The plastic front attaches using standard 3-hole US punch holes. Please note that until we receive new files for the headband parts, you'll need to scale them down to 1mm thickness. This remix is a work in progress, and I'm eager to incorporate any suggested improvements from the community. A prototype has been sent to the user who requested this redesign, and we will update our design accordingly as further feedback is received.
