Face Shield - Approved
thingiverse
This face shield model, designed by Erik Cederberg of 3D Verkstan, has been given the green light for clinical use by the National Institute of Health's COVID-19 Supply Chain Response. I'm thrilled to see this, as when I first searched here for a medical face shield COVID-19 was an overseas concern. Today there are over 200 face shield Things available. I'm sure many of them work great. Here's another option. I've been working with other volunteers to produce this particular model, and together we've made over 10,000 of these for the medical industry. Although I wasn't part of completing the finished product, the details are shared here: https://3dverkstan.se/protective-visor/protective-visor-versions/ Fortunately, the USA seems to have plenty of PPE and our industries can produce numbers in millions. That's why I'm sharing this Thing - in case someone in our world could find it useful. Only PLA or PETG with 100% infill and no voids are approved (see print setting and design).
