First of all, I find that the designs from "topedesigns" are very practical! Especially this model combines the positive features of other models. These include: good head fit wide forehead support easy application of the foil good ventilation appropriate printing time (approx. 2:50 hours - Prusa slicer, Speed, 20% infill I personally prefer version 1, because of the air circulation to the top, which prevents fogging of the foil. However, printing with PLA, I am afraid that the 3 connecting struts might not be sufficient to prevent breakage. Therefore I have added some reinforcement. A weak point of the original - in my opinion - is the mounting of the foil. As different foil thicknesses are used, this will cause problems. I, for example, make the foils from A4 laminating foil (125 micron). Passed through the laminator (last picture) and you have a relatively stable and clear foil. The laminating foil is horizontally approx. 5mm longer than A4. Therefore the foil has to be shortened to fit into the face protection. This kind of foil is not very thick, so it rushes out of the holder very easily! To prevent this, I have added a hole ( Ø 3mm ) at the side ends, into which, after inserting the foil and perforating it with a piercer, a small printable rivet is pressed in. Keep well!
