Closed top, autolocking mechanism specifically designed for A4 acrylic sheets is now a reality. I'm not the original creator of this innovative project, but rather one who has built upon existing work by making some significant modifications. My contribution involves adding handles made from elastic band, which I sourced from a similar design - the Prusa protective face shield, available at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857-prusa-protective-face-shield-rc2.
