Face Shield

Face Shield

thingiverse

I designed this face shield in response to the severe shortage of medical equipment in my area. Since there isn't enough time to obtain official approval from medical institutions, I created a product that can still provide some level of protection to healthcare workers. Without any protective gear at all, they would be exposed to unnecessary risks. The face shield is crafted from PETG, which is machined to precise dimensions in my workshop. By drilling and rounding the sheets, I was able to create a smooth, rounded shape. To assemble the face shield without adding an extra piece to the base, I used a gun heater to thermo form the PETG. With my machine, it takes 48 minutes to complete each face shield, but I could potentially reduce production time if I sacrifice some of the product's quality, particularly when it comes to the pins.
