Face protector

Face protector

thingiverse

We're looking at a custom face protector that features a plastic part specifically designed for the face area. The screen itself is built with PETG, PC Lexan, or Makrolon materials in A4 size. To secure it in place, we recommend using 3x metric M4x12 or longer screws with stainless steel nuts (preferably of A4 material). Due to current lockdown restrictions related to COVID-19, creating a prototype with professional-grade screens and elastic bands is not feasible at this time. A picture is included that shows one prototype featuring an A4 punched pocket and two made from PET screens sourced from plastic bottles. This low-cost design allows for the simultaneous use of masks and safety glasses, providing a practical solution during these challenging times. The prototypes are 3D printed in PLA material but it's essential to note that it lacks high-temperature resistance. Disinfecting is recommended using UV-C light; however, this process should only be handled by professionals. This information may prove helpful for healthcare providers who face difficulties accessing professional materials due to shortages.
