This is an emergency face mask designed for use when over-the-counter personal protective equipment (PPE) is not accessible. It accommodates filter thicknesses up to 10 millimeters and functions best with a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) mask body. If rigid material is used instead, applying an elastomeric material such as closed-cell foam tape around the perimeter of the mask ensures a secure seal against the face.
