Face Mask Fasteners
cults3d
I wanted to have some fasteners to the COVID-19 mask found at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4225667 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4248104, as well as a retainer to stabilize the face mask on me. These clips do the job. I printed them in PETG to take advantage of the limited flexibility and strength of the material. I can now use different types of material for straps like nylon cord, elastic strap, nylon straps.... The harness can be made in either PETG or TPU. The PETG I feel is better, much like the ones used on the 3M respirators for automotive painting. The TPU is much more flexible for comfort for long term use. I just uploaded an improved copy of the fasteners. They should import to the bed without the need to re-orient the print. Below are the printer settings I used on my Ender 3 and ANET ET4. PETG: - Hotend: 245 C for first layer, 240 C for the rest - Bed: 60 C - Speed: 50 mm/sec - Fan: 0 first layer, 80% for the rest - Layer Height: .15 or use adaptive layers in CURA TPU: - Hotend: 230 C - Bed: 60 C - Speed; 30 mm/sec - Fan: 0 first layer, 80% for the rest - Retraction: 2 mm - Coasting: Enabled - Layer Height: .20 or use adaptive layter in CURA
