I've created a 3D printer upgrade, personally using a 12cm Be Quiet fan because it's much quieter than the original. I also added a spot for a voltmeter. I used PC power supply screws and M3x20 thermoplastic screws to secure the fan, along with two M2.5x8 thermoplastic screws.
