Custom dispensing head designed specifically for use with a FABtotum machine is showcased in this video, where it demonstrates its capabilities by dispensing solder paste onto a PCB. A communication test of the dispensing head with FABtotum can also be seen here. The example PCB used is an FTDI circuit designed using KiCAD software and milled with FABtotum using FlatCAM. The custom dispensing head was 3D printed using FABtotum, while CAD files for a similar design, TwinTeeth, were adapted to fit the needs of FABtotum. Electronics consist of an Arduino Nano v3 equipped with custom firmware to control a 28BYJ-48-5V step motor driven by a ULN2003 driver. To operate the dispensing head, CAM software rpt2pnp was modified to meet the requirements of FABtotum.
