Fabrikator - Closed Chamber upgrade
thingiverse
The goal is to improve the fabrikator by turning it into a sealed chamber, which would provide a consistent temperature for printing purposes. This upgrade becomes particularly crucial when working with ABS and Polycarbonate materials, as they are more sensitive to variations in temperature. Additionally, enclosing the fabrikator significantly reduces the noise level. The necessary components include: Plexiglass sheets measuring 4mm thick: Left panel: 20 x 24 cm Right panel: 20 x 24 cm Top panels: Two sections measuring 24.5 x 5 cm each Two sections measuring 21 x 5 cm each One section measuring 24.3 x 21.8 cm Front door components: Upper part: 26 x 22.5 cm Lower part: 26 x 4 cm To assemble the sides, I used 7 nylon M3 bolts. For securing the panels in place, I employed 16 metal screws measuring 2.9mm in diameter and 9.5 mm long.
