I created a custom keyring for our makerspace by cutting out small squares of laser-cut plastic and using a screwdriver to assemble it. To start, I cut six small pieces of clear 1/8-inch thick acrylic sheet using the laser cutter in our fablab. Next, I deburred all the edges of each piece using some nail files, making sure not to leave any sharp corners or points that could be hazardous. Once my keychain components were deburred and free from debris, I started drilling a hole into the center of one of the smaller squares, roughly 1/8 inch in diameter using an exacto-knife for control over how deeply the cut goes inwards since this allows precise depth control so that our final piece remains intact throughout the whole fabrication process afterwards
