This is a custom pen adapter for the HP 7440A pen plotter that was popular in the mid-80s. The adapter enables you to use Faber-Castell Pitt Artist pens with the Hewlett-Packard device. A small set screw secures each pen firmly in place. The design functions perfectly with the plotter's carousel as long as the transparent top portion of the carousel has been removed. This modification allows for seamless integration. This adapter was designed specifically for use with Yöti, an algorithmic portrait artist project (https://djip.co/art/yoti).
