Fab Lab Tulsa Paddle Boat
myminifactory
I designed a paddle boat for Fab Lab Tulsa's "Boat Moat" challenge at Maker Faire, Tulsa on August 25, 2018, and I gladly accepted the invitation! The result is my Fab Lab Tulsa Paddle Boat design, which makes a fun pool toy for the grandkids as an added bonus! A video of my paddle boat in action can be seen here. My paddle boat fits easily within the maximum allowed dimensions of 8 by 5 inches for the Boat Moat challenge. As required, it is powered by rubber bands. The total weight of the boat is 36 grams or 1.2 ounces, and as shown in the video, it can travel distances of 15 feet or more. As usual, I may have forgotten a file or two, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I make mistakes frequently. I designed my paddle boat using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced it with Cura 3.2.1, and printed it in PLA on both an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
