Fab Lab Tulsa (https://fablabtulsa.org) challenged me with designing a boat for their "Boat Moat" challenge at Maker Faire, Tulsa on August 25, 2018, and I eagerly accepted the challenge. After a week of intense design and testing, redesign and more thorough testing, FLT1 is now ready to take on the competition. FLT1 fits perfectly within the maximum allowed dimensions of 8 by 5 inches and meets all requirements by being powered solely by a rubber band. Weighing in at an impressive total weight of 60 grams (2.1 ounces), it's clear that this boat can move quickly as seen in the video. I initially tested my FLT1s using a single rubber band, but... As usual, I probably overlooked some crucial files or made other mistakes, so feel free to ask any questions you may have. I make plenty of errors and am always happy to clarify. Designed with Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 3.2.1, and printed in PLA on an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
