Fab Lab [little] House

This prototype embodies the ultimate concept of sustainable living by designing a cozy home measuring 10 sq.meters entirely crafted through advanced digital fabrication techniques. Instructions for Construction and Assembly Update on Plywood Supply Chains: A Key Challenge Ahead To replicate the exact dimensions, fabricated fin sections should be cut from 15003000 mm plywood sheets, preferably made from locally sourced Russian materials. Unfortunately, accessing such large sheets internationally poses significant hurdles; more so, many fabricator labs/maker spaces and CNC shops lack equipment capable of handling these enormous sheet sizes. To mitigate this constraint, an alternate layout design was developed, optimizing the use of international standard 12202440 plywood sheets. Assembly involves constructing the frame using identical "fins" joined by specialized connectors. Frame Structure and Construction Method The frame structure is comprised of 10 equally-sized "fins", each consisting of two layers (5 parts and 4 parts) securely fastened together with robust M8 bolts. Sectional units are constructed through bolting adjacent fins with short connectors, while inter-unit connections require longer, custom-built connector components. Fabrication: Leverage Advanced CNC Router Technology for Seamless Results The initial frame structure is designed from a single type of high-quality 18mm-thick plywood, manufactured in large 15003000 mm sheets. Each individual "fin" must be created using two complete frames: one named FRAME_A and another designated as FRAME_B. Following the specified design plan, it's recommended to divide these tasks across teams working on assembly; smaller components necessary for completing each frame are also embedded within a unique file referred to as "small parts.dxf." As per calculated calculations, a standard construction might call upon no less than 20 whole plywood sheets - despite its enormity, a practical home solution. Assembly Techniques for Successful Deployment To successfully build the full structure with hand-operated power and leverage, at least four active builders will be necessary. They are anticipated to accomplish this challenging work over a span lasting several days, with ample experience of usage mallets in 13mm wrenching and screw fastening mechanisms would certainly increase output speed for all those working diligently on every one task individually; therefore more effective performance within each collaborative effort will take less time, yet a full workforce.
