This is a custom laser-cut wood coaster featuring the distinctive Fab Lab network logo, intricately inlaid with varying directions of grain. Crafted from 1/4-inch birch plywood and stained to a rich brown hue, this unique coaster showcases exceptional craftsmanship. To achieve precise fit, the inlaid section was carefully cut slightly larger than the hole, taking into account the kerf of the laser. This calibration is specific to my material and 40W CO2 laser setup; however, it may require adjustment for other materials. Please note that this design file represents the standard Fab Lab logo, rather than a perfectly symmetrical version. I believe this intentional imperfection adds character and personality to the piece. For added functionality, the coaster's bottom features a layer of fabric, providing gentle friction on any surface.
