I combined the SQ11 Mini DV camera mount clip by christosch with a battery cover I designed in TinkerCAD for the f949 Cessna 182 by WLToys. The total weight of this combo is just 2.19 grams. To use it, simply turn on the camera and snap it into place - then you're ready to fly! I tested both with and without landing gear, and while it definitely flew better without the gear, you'll need to land it in grass. I posted images of it in flight, and some video will follow soon. In fact, here's a link to an edit video: https://youtu.be/NuEAl7ieKbk. I think I need to adjust the camera angle to avoid propeller warping in the recorded video. In addition to modifying the SQ11 camera, I replaced the metal support with this design from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:396316 (originally found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2533945). The total weight of the modified camera, including a memory card, is 10.56 grams. When combined with this adapter, it weighs 12.86 grams. Modified versions: I made some changes to add more support for the clip and cut back on material to reduce the weight by about 10%. I created three options: * A 90-degree angle that faces straight down for excellent topography shots, while also allowing you to leave the landing gear on. * A 30-degree angle that definitely clears the propeller. * A 20-degree angle that should clear the prop, but if not try the 30-degree option.
