Plane tail section of a WWII-era Grumman F4F Wildcat. The section washed ashore near St. Augustine, FL in September of 2020. The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum’s Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program (LAMP) is currently storing and assessing conservation options for the artifact in conjunction with the Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC).
