F3A RC Airplane Wheel Pants (suitable for Sebart Miss Wind)
thingiverse
This wheel pants design will fit a 50E class F3A RC airplane. It was tailored for the look-and-feel of a Sebart Miss Wind. The design can be printed without support except in the wheel axel slot. I used PETG to print and the weight is about 14g each without putty and painting. I used 3 layers at the bottom and 5 for the top for my Prusa MK3S setting as the round nose area has a steeper angle toward the top needs to be covered. Three STL are included in the design. One for front right, one for front left and one common rear portion of the wheel pants. You can mate the front and back by sliding and squeezing the rear portion through the opening of the wheel of the front. It is a lot easier than putting the two pieces in normal fashion. You can glue (CA, Cyanoacrylate) the two from inside so that the cosmetic of the outer surface is preserved.
