F1D Model Stand
thingiverse
This stand is designed for indoor models, featuring a motor tube/stick width between ~1/8" and 5/16". Based on an original design by Cezar Banks, it's built to work seamlessly. To create this stand, you'll need to print two side pieces and one base piece. Additionally, gather some essential materials: 1/32" music wire, 3/16" dowel, 5/16" brass tube, and adhesive-backed felt. Clamping the stand is a breeze; simply slide the small piece of brass tube up to secure it in place. I've set mine up for a light friction fit on my F1D motor tubes when unclamped, allowing me to effortlessly place or remove my model from the stand with just one hand. When clamped, the stand provides a strong grasp of the model.
