F1 Track Name by Country
thingiverse
I'm working on a unique wall art project that expands on the F1 tracks, rather than simply recreating them. The twist? I wanted to pair each track with its corresponding 3-letter country code. To achieve this, I embarked on a multi-step process: Firstly, I scoured the web for the official font used by F1 and successfully installed it on my system. Next, I opened Paint 3D and created 3D text using that font. I saved each letter as a separate .3mf file to work with them individually. Using Microsoft's 3D Builder tool (I know, it sounds old-school!), I enlarged the letters to precise dimensions: 45mm in length, 16mm in width, and 4mm in height. The result was a set of STL files that perfectly represented each letter. To bring everything together, I designed some rectangular models to serve as connectors between the letters, creating a cohesive and visually appealing display.
