F1 Rocket Engine
thingiverse
A replica of the trusty Rocketdyne F1 rocket engine is taking shape here. It was five mighty engines like these that helped our astronauts soar to the moon's surface for the very first time. I'm about to print this beast with an abundance of supporting material, so proceed with caution. This detailed model of a Rocketdyne F1 engine was created in SolidWorks by yours truly. I made some important edits on December 25th, 2014 - namely tweaking the brace for the piston to make it stronger. Below are some printing instructions. To bring this rocket engine replica to life, print it using your Makerbot 2x and choose ABS as the material of choice. Be prepared to deal with a massive amount of support material during the printing process.
With this file you will be able to print F1 Rocket Engine with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on F1 Rocket Engine.
