This jig or fixture is designed to help ensure that holes drilled in automotive freeze plugs are perfectly centered. It requires the following hardware: 2 or 4 machine screws with a 1/4"-20 thread and 1-1/2" length 2 or 4 hex nuts with a 1/4"-20 thread A drill bushing measuring 5/8" in diameter, including its head, for use with the desired drill size. The jig includes four holes that are 1/8" in diameter and can be used to vent the plug if needed.
