The F1 2016 Pirelli Ultrasoft tire is a new, low working range compound for use on tight circuits that focus on mechanical grip. As the softest tire in the range and sitting below the supersoft, it has an extremely rapid warm-up with peak performance but limited overall life. Although not specifically designed for qualifying, its potential applications during races are notable. The tire's purple markings were chosen following a fan vote on social media. Pirelli & C.
