This little cam lock slips over the rear focus locking screw, serving a dual purpose of securing both the aperture and back focus when used as a camera lens, rather than with the motorized unit. I frequently found myself inadvertently adjusting the aperture ring, which led me to discover this feature's usefulness in locking it down to a fixed value.
