F. Damp Gripper

In high humidity regions like Great Britain, damp and mouldy windows and walls are a common problem in flats. Cold walls exacerbate this issue by increasing condensation and promoting mould growth. A solution is to use a Peltier heat pump, which can create a cold area in the room and prevent condensation by extracting excess water from the air. This has a similar effect as taking a cold beer out of the fridge. To implement this solution, manufacture a mild-steel plate frame fitted with Peltier elements by spot welding and painting it any colour. Include a low voltage (9-15V) cooling unit, an external voltage regulator with a humidity level sensor and control unit, which can be placed elsewhere like the bathroom out wall. The F. Damp Gripper device is easy to remove, wash, and maintain hygienically. Install one or more damp gripper devices in rooms with significant temperature differences between inside and outside. The condensate water will flow out through a hose into the drain system, similar to air conditioning units. Benefits include reducing asthma cases and mould-related insects, as well as chemical-free protection for furniture, curtains, wallpaper, and floors without the need for repainting. However, there is an electricity consumption cost, and the device may not always fit the room's design. Long-term use is possible without requiring additional supplies.
