Produced very late in the mercenary incursions specifically for private military companies, the F-29 was a core world interceptor design re-engined for export and quietly exported to combatants against the regulations in place for the rim at the time. They were excellent fighters and more than a match for anything available in the outer rim at the time, though never very common. After the conflicts many of them were bought back by core world firms, but a good number are still flying in rim service forces.
