F-15 Reporter for microarmor
thingiverse
Aerial Recon used during the Korean War was based on the long-range escort XP-61E variant of the P-61 Black Widow. The XP-61E had development delays and the Twin Mustang took that role, but the plane was adapted for recon by replacing the nose cannon with cameras. This little model could be easily modified to represent either the F-15 or the XP-61E; simply shave off the nose cannons for the Reporter and adjust the paint/markings accordingly. The model has a low level of detail due to limitations of FDM printers, which only includes few panel lines, etc. Modeled in full dimensions using Blender 2.82 and exported from Blender 2.79b at a scale of 1/100 for the .stl file, then scaled down to 35% in the slicer. Issues have been experienced with exporting .stl's from Blender 2.82; however, 2.79b and 2.80 export the same mesh to different file sizes, which can cause problems. To avoid these issues, the mesh is exported from 2.79b for consistency's sake.
