F-11D Blaster Stand
thingiverse
I'm impressed by your 3D printed F-11D blaster, a model created by the Fithhorseman. Searching for free downloads proved unsuccessful, so I spent hours modeling and testing to achieve my final stand. Although it's bulky, this stand securely holds the blaster in place. Additional details include side columns and re-scaled pieces from the original blaster file. Inserts with white material are used on the side towers, allowing future lighting installation for a more impressive display. This project was accomplished using my limited Fusion 360 skills at that time, requiring many hours of adjustments before finally completing it. At some point, you must accept a project's limitations and call it finished. The print time is quite extensive, taking over 24 hours to complete all parts depending on the slicing method used. The inserts on the main body are indexed for easier alignment and gluing into place. To fit within my Ender 3 bed's constraints, I scaled down the main body so it wouldn't need to be cut. The attached images show one side with the StarWars logo. However, due to difficulties in gluing this feature in place while maintaining even alignment, I decided not to include it in this version to prevent potential build issues for others. I hope you enjoy my stand design.
