The F-117 Nighthawk, developed by Lockheed's Skunk Works division for the USAF, is a single-seat, twin-engine stealth ground-attack aircraft. It was the first operational aircraft designed around stealth technology and based on Have Blue tech demonstrator. The maiden flight occurred in 1981, achieving initial operating capability status in 1983. Shrouded in secrecy until its revelation in 1988, it was developed for ground attacks by the US Air Force.
