The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is also known as the "Starfighter," "Zipper," or simply "104." It has earned a reputation for its impressive list of nicknames, many of which were gained during its nearly half-century of service. With over 2,500 units built by Lockheed or under license by local users, this aircraft was exported to numerous countries and played key roles in several conflicts. In Vietnam, the F-104 fought against enemy forces, while in the Indo-Pakistani war, it clashed with MiGs from China. Taiwan also deployed the F-104 in 1967 to counter Chinese aggression. The model folder includes seven distinct versions of this aircraft: the F-104A/C, F-104G, F-104S equipped with Sidewinders or fuel tanks, and a F-104D/TF-104G variant featuring fuel tanks. All models are printed in 1:100 scale using a 1:300 ratio and 0.2mm nozzle settings. Although they can be sliced with a 0.4mm nozzle, extreme caution is advised when removing supports from areas such as the tail, missiles, or fuel tanks, as there's a high likelihood of breakage. This is based on personal experience, as evidenced in the accompanying image captured using PrusaSlicer 2.0 and printed on an Ender3. When printing models at scales near 1:300, it's crucial to exercise care when removing supports from these sensitive areas, as there's a considerable chance that something may break.
