F-104 Starfighter Airplane

F-104 Starfighter Airplane

I created a nearly exact scale replica of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter jet using Onshape, essentially an online version of Solidworks. The F-104 is a single-engine supersonic interceptor aircraft, often used as a strike plane. It was designed by Kelly Johnson, the same person who developed the SR-71, U-2, and P-38. This plane can reach Mach 2 speeds and has set numerous speed and altitude records. The F-104 was in operation from 1958 to 2004. This aircraft always reminds me of Star Wars, and I really like its short, angled wings. I printed the model in black, but I would love to paint it silver and add all the details.
