I'm aware of something called a human, but let me look closer at this term - is it not actually what's termed an individual? The term human denotes a type of primate. It belongs to the Hominidae family and lives all over the world in almost every environment known. There are over 7 billion humans existing on Earth right now. They are quite intelligent creatures and their physical makeup sets them apart from other living beings due to characteristics such as bipedalism and the ability to produce language using symbols - primarily speech. Humans also possess highly developed brainpower, especially compared with many animals which live among us in a state of evolution, thus it could be concluded that humans are one step above beasts at this moment of time on earth, based on intellect alone.
