This allows users to tear toilet paper using one hand. It was initially designed by students at Stanford University for a person with use of only one hand. It works by printing two of the attached stl file. These pieces then go on either end of the toilet paper roll. Then, 3 elastic bands are attached to both pieces, making the pieces squeeze the toilet paper roll. Then, when a user is trying to tear the piece of paper, there is some resistance that prevents the roll from slipping. This was largely inspired by the perfect tear paper towel holders which work by applying friction to the paper towel rolls from the inside.
